proof that heavenly father has a sense of humor

It's where it all began.
utah state was my school. i wanted so badly to go to utah state, where its cold 300 days out of the year, and my program wasn't offered, where i would need to walk everywhere worrying if my feet would freeze.
i was planning on it.
a few weeks ago, i had my semiannual bishops interview.
i was asked of my college plans, to which i answered, without hesitation, utah state.
and out of nowhere, my bishop told me that he knew the presidents son of dixie.
dixie state college.
where its warm 300 days of the year, and where my program is offered, and where i could walk everywhere without worrying if my feet would freeze.
i didn't care about this. utah state was my school.
but at that moment, heavenly father decided to spring something on me that i was not ready for.
ladies and gentlemen, i have been told to go to dixie state college.
and i'm doing it.
also, once when i was still planning on utah state, i bought a trench coat for more money i have ever spent on one piece of clothing thinking it was a good purchase because i could wear it up at college, and then i was told i was going to live in St. George. if that isn't proof that heavenly father has a sense of humor, i don't know what is.

1. I know all about harry potter. its an obession. possibly i have every single book memorized. it's no secret that i listen to jim dale read those lovely words as i sleep. don't quiz me on my potter. i will beat you every time. 

2. for the longest time my fish pigwidgeon was my best friend. also, he was named after ron weasley's owl in harry potter. 

3. i have the hardest time concentrating for long periods of time. my mother calls it A.D.D. i get it from my dad. 

4. i think texting is a bother. often i will receive a text and just not reply. its strange i know. what teenager hates texting?

5. after years of planning on utah state, dixie has become my school of choice. a post full of explanations is in the making. 

6. i own every season of gilmore girls and friends. also, i watch them both way to much.

7. i have gotten into this strange habit of beginning my sentences with also. i'm not sure what caused it. it just happened.

my favorite part about blog stalking is that you get to know someone you otherwise wouldn't have.
its amazing how much you get to know someone by reading their words.

i want to shout it from the mountian

today has been the best day of my life.
once i was in a math class that is particularly hard for me, because clearly i am not a person who loves math. and once in that particularly hard (for me) math class, we took a test.
and i nearly cried because i studied so hard.
and i got a good luck sticker that said A+,
but after i took that test in that particularly hard (for me) math class, i started to doubt my mathing abilities, because based on previous test scores, math isn't my cup of tea.
and who thinks that "getting your test back in math" day is the worst day?
because i do.
and because today was, "get your test back in math" day, i thought it would suck.
but then i got my scores back.
and basically i peed my pants from joy.
ladies and gentlemen, this day is the best day of my life.

this is the best test score i have ever received.
its been a, "dance down the hall because you killed your math test" kind of a day.

i listen to in the heights while i do math homework.
i listen to aida while i mow the lawn.
i listen to miss saigon while i do my hair.
i listen to shrek while i sleep.
i listen to little women while i'm on the computer.
i listen to south pacific and guys and dolls while i color my anatomy homework.
